Maypole Engineering have recently completed the relocation of an Engine Assembly (Track One) line at Perkins Engines in Peterborough.
The scope of work was to supply a new turnkey conveyor system prior to the Perkins summer shutdown period.

Phase two of the project was to move six existing assembly machines and the facility’s manual stations from the old facility and integrate them into the new conveyor system in two weeks.

In addition we had to extend and relocate a facility adjacent to the new system to free up valuable working space for the new line.
The machines and the manual stations were successfully relocated and integrated into the new facility ready for the re start of Engine production.
